What do we need to provide high quality services?Arrangements must begin at least two weeks before the event takes place. However, it is recommended to start organising it as soon as possible - ideally every detail has to be agreed on a month before. If simultaneous interpreting is needed, especially if interpreting equipment has to be provided as well (if that is the case, we have to check the venue at least once before the event), it is recommended to arrange everything 45-60 days in advance. We kindly ask you to provide us with all possible details in connection with the topic, at the latest one week before the event takes place. This is very important in the case of consecutive interpreting as well, but in case of simultaneous interpreting, this is of crucial importance. No matter how experienced and accomplished our interpreters are, the simultaneous interpreting of speeches full of topic- and client-specific terminology and acronyms is impossible at a high level without the opportunity to prepare for the task in advance. • • • •

We can provide interpreting services in the following language pairs:
Consecutive interpretingIn case of consecutive interpreting, the speech is divided into segments. After each segment, the interpreter renders the text into the target language. Liaison interpreting is a special form of consecutive interpreting used mainly at business meetings or official visits, where the interpreter mediates among a few people and switches between the two languages very often (e.g. among business partners)
Simultaneous (or conference) interpretingSimultaneous interpreting is a special, probably the most demanding type of interpreting, which requires a very high degree of professionalism. In the course of simultaneous interpreting, the interpreters (usually two of them, changing in 15-20 minute shifts) sit in a booth designed especially for this purpose, listening to the speech through headphones and rendering it into the target language, practically at the same time, so interpreting takes place in almost real time. The target language text can be listened to through special headphones. It is a great advantage of this mode that speeches can be interpreted to 5-6 languages at the same time. It is typically used at international professional conferences and events. Chuchotage or whispered interpreting is another type of simultaneous interpreting, which is used when the audience requiring the interpreting is small (1-6 people). The interpreter sits right next to these people, "whispering" the speech to them in the target language.
Experienced interpreters with professional qualificationsInterpreting is a hard profession, demanding a high degree of expertise and responsibility. That is why we select our co-workers so carefully. All of our interpreters hold bachelor's or master's degree and pluriannual experience; most of them have obtained a specialised postgraduate diploma in interpreting and are licensed interpreters. • • • •
